Qualifying 1 Live

The Qualifying 1 Examination tests both basic and clinical medicine as well as your clinical decision making capacity (CDM). Our team of MD's put our heads together and pooled all our resources to build a comprehensive Qualifying 1 Exam Live Review that will focus heavily on the CDM component, all-the-while reinforcing your basic and clinical medical knowledge. These exams are organized and conducted by the Medical Council of Canada (MCC).

At MedSckool Reviews, we have been receiving a lot of emails from students and graduates requesting a condensed review for the Evaluation Exam to help them better prepare. So we decided to respond by building "The Most Comprehensive Live Review for the Evaluating Exam Ever Offered in Canada" & make it affordable (compared to other Canadian & American reviews of similar nature). But here's the catch. We decided that to be very effective, we will only take a maximum of 10 students per cohort (reduced for COVID19 safety measures) and hit all the high yield topics and concepts. We even provide students with the luxury or repeating the review just in case their confidence isn't high the first time around. Finally, we also reached out to Canadian Doctors and Medical Residents to help us write our notes. 'MedSckool Notes' is our unique course study guide, updated and revised frequently and sourced by exam-toppers.

If you've been using other outside, unofficial or even US materials and sources to prepare, well you won't need any of them anymore; MedSckool Notes solves the problem and it is unique.

Our winning formula of in-class preparation, our MedSckool Notes and our partnership with CanadaQBank & UWORLD ensure that students gain the most effective preparation for their MCCQE1!

Let's be frank: with the advent of the NEW QE1 (2018 revamp), if you're applying for residency, your score is paramount!
What kind of score do I need? Over 250 if you want to be relevant; Over 280 if you want to be competitive; Over 300 if you want a guaranteed interview (based on our independent internal research). And since the new exam was relaunched, we have been able to produce these kinds of results with our unique recipe of exam prep!

What physicians are saying about our QE1 Live Review...

I heard about MedSckool Reviews from a couple of friends at my school (and other Caribbean medical schools), but I didn’t really learn about it until I search them online. I initially thought the review course would be very organized & informative. I was prepared for an intensive-style review. I also thought there was going to be a lot of didactic lectures and review material provided. I seriously loved that my impression changed because the best part about this prep course was the laid back, informal and interactive nature of the program. The lecturers were extremely approachable and easy to talk to. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the whole experience. The QE1 Live Review is a superb course which has tremendously helped me begin my preparation for the QE1 exam. It ‘jump started’ my studying, and I already saw improvements in my knowledge-base in just 12 days. I now feel confident that I have the tools to not only pass but do well on the QE1 exam. Thanks, MedSckool!
-    Dr. Alexandra | Caribbean

Initially, my impression from what I gathered on the website was that this was a well-structured program geared mostly at IMGs. I was impressed with the testimonials, and as the timing suited me very well for my exams, I was more inclined to join a prep program. Overall, I have learned and re-learned a lot of material in the last 12 days. The structure of the lectures was good. I’m mentally exhausted, but overall, this was a good, high yield course which covered material pertinent to the QE1. This was an intense, but well-worth-it 12 days of QE1 review. The topics covered are the most important and high yield for the QE1 exam. Meeting people from all over the world was really nice and being able to share personal experiences throughout medical school, clinical work and applications lets us know that we’re not alone in this process. I would happily take another MedSckool course in the future and recommend it to any IMG. Thanks to Dr. Mark and his team for an intense, but fun, 12 days!
-    Dr. Leonard | Ireland

It met my expectations and got me motivated! MedSckool Reviews provided me a stress-free environment to learn high yield and important stuff for the QE1. The fact that you shared the room with other doctors are in the same position as you, gave you support and motivation! Mark always had great advice to provide not only for the QE1 but CARMS match as well. You definitely get your money’s worth!
-    Dr. Nilesh | India

This was a fantastic course! I’m glad I took it; it answered all my questions and addressed my concerns about the upcoming exam. The MedSckool QE1 course is absolutely amazing; it provides all the resources for the exam. Definitely has helped me feel more confident about my upcoming exam! I highly recommend it!
-    Dr. Roohab | Windsor University (Caribbean)

I really enjoyed this QE1 review. It helped me resolve my weak areas before the exam and how to prepare efficiently. The concise and ‘to the point’ approach helps put everything together in 12 days.
-    Dr. Carlos | Peru

I found MedSckool Reviews on Facebook. Then I Google searched them and found them to be very convenient for my exam prep. Before attending, I thought it would be like being in school all over again; where only one lecturer covered all the material and we sat and took notes. After 12 days, I realized that everything was totally different from what I expected. All the classes were so interactive. Everyone in the class was free to share their experiences, opinions and the group of lecturers were amazing in their teaching, approach, and encouragement. They really made you feel like your input mattered and the group had such a diverse mix of doctors and specialists that the lectures were really interesting. Joining the QE1 review with MedSckool Reviews was the best decision I ever made. I trusted them for another exam earlier, and I did well as a result. I put my trust in them again, and I know I will do well. Thank you and God Bless!
-    Dr. Klara  | Albania

Super fun environment to learn; comfortable and encouraging space to speak and ask questions and clarify doubts. We had fun while we learned, and Dr. Mark made it super easy. The notes are excellent to use in class and very organized and simple to study from afterward. I have high hopes and expectations towards the exam now because of this preparation!
-    Dr. Camila | Columbia

Before I took MedSckool Reviews, I was all over the place; not knowing what to study and it was overwhelming. I ended up wasting a lot of time studying irrelevant material. After completing the course, I now have a solid sense of direction, including how to manage my time. It’s definitely one of the best decisions I made. And let’s not forget that I had to travel from the other side of the country to attend, but it was overall a great experience. So to those that are considering it, don’t hesitate; just participate. Knowledge is the key to success and Dr. Mark and his team will definitely so much of that with you!
-    Dr. Dmitriy | Russia

I took the QE1 review after a friend of mine took it and did well in his exams (and is currently practicing in Canada). His recommendation was what drew me to MedSckool Reviews. He had already told me what to expect, so I was somewhat prepared to hit the ground running from the first day of class. But he was wrong. The QE1 class was much better than what he had told me. It was a very helpful and well-organized course. The materials and lectures were on point and exam-oriented. Overall, I found it to be a really enjoyable experience. It helped me understand how to approach the QE1 exam because they use the Medical Council’s objectives to teach and their materials are up-to-date with what Canadian medical schools are teaching. They also provided me with an excellent guide to follow afterward. So helpful. Definitely, recommend this to anyone preparing for their Canadian exams.
-    Dr. José | Mexico

My friend told me about MedSckool Reviews. I was actually attending another review on the west end of the city, which I wasn’t too impressed with at the time. She had registered for the QE1 review at MedSckool after hearing good things from a former classmate of hers. So I withdrew from that other program and registered here, and I’m so so so very happy I did. I’m now able to say I was able to learn and cover information that I didn’t get before anywhere else and I know how to deal with the exam, and I also know how to study and prepare myself after the review finished. It was a wonderful experience. In fact, an extraordinary one. Dr. Mark delivered an unprecedented review of the course. He helped me reach a new level of knowledge. Dr. Mark organized the course structure, content and environment in such a fascinating way that makes you want to learn and study better. I am confident that my skills are sharpened and I intend to follow his study guidelines to prepare for the exam. Thank you, Dr. Mark, (and the MedSckool Team)!
-    Dr. Safinaz | UAE

I heard about this review class from a friend. She had such great things to say, and she did well on her exams too. I really enjoyed the course, and now I’ll also highly recommend it to everyone I know who is preparing for their Canadian medical exams too. The review was very helpful and useful to me. It is quite exhaustive, to be honest, but the way you cover everything in 12 days with daily MCQ practice tests and practicing CDM cases every day makes it wonderful. Thank you so much!
