Exam Prep for the CCFP | SOO & SAMP Review | MedSckool Reviews

If you're preparing for the CCFP exam in Canada, you already know this isn’t just another test — it’s a high-stakes assessment of how you think, communicate, and practice as a family physician. Most candidates don’t fail because they lack knowledge.

They struggle because they don’t understand how to perform under the CFPC exam format — especially in SOOs and SAMPs. That’s exactly what this course is designed to fix.

Why This Prep Course for the CCFP Is Different

At MedSckool Reviews, we’ve spent over a decade training physicians to succeed in Canadian licensing exams — and we’ve built this course specifically around how the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) actually evaluates candidates. This is not passive learning. This is structured, exam-focused training that teaches you:
How to approach Simulated Office Orals (SOOs) with confidence
How to answer Short Answer Management Problems (SAMPs) the way examiners expect
How to apply updated Canadian clinical guidelines in real exam scenarios How to avoid the most common mistakes that cost candidates marks

What You’ll Learn
This 5-day intensive course covers all 105 CFPC Priority Topics, with a focus on high-yield areas tested every year.
You’ll master:
Mental health, chronic disease, and complex care cases
Women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatrics
Emergency medicine and red flag recognition
Preventive care and screening (updated Canadian guidelines)
Communication strategies that maximize SOO scoring

Live SOO Practice + Real-Time Feedback
Most courses teach theory. We train performance.
You’ll participate in: Live mock SOO stations with examiner-style feedback Structured frameworks to improve patient-centred communication
Proven strategies to demonstrate clinical reasoning clearly and efficiently

SAMP Strategy That Actually Works
SAMPs are not about writing everything you know. They’re about writing the right answer, in the right format, under pressure. We’ll show you: How to structure high-scoring SAMP responses What examiners are specifically looking for How to avoid over-answering or missing key management steps
