COVID-19 & OUR REVIEW COURSES
UPDATED: MARCH 29, 2020
To all our physicians and medical student attendees,
With the growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”), we wanted to provide you with some information about our reviews and classes over the next few months. The health, safety and well-being of our attendees and staff are our top priority and we are following the lead of Canadian public health authorities and the Medical Council of Canada at this important time. As a result of various methods to contain the spread, MedSckool Reviews strongly supports the decisions such as social distancing and exam cancellations, etc..
First and foremost, we want to assure everyone that we are taking all appropriate measures to ensure our classes are safe and that we have existing plans and training protocols in place to ensure they stay that way. While the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus as low, we continue to monitor for developments very closely. We have implemented additional measures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our team. To protect yourself and others, we ask that anyone who is feeling unwell refrain from attending any upcoming classes so that together we can ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone. If it comes to this situation, we will happily reschedule you for a future session, free of charge.
The Medical Council of Canada recently canceled upcoming exams for the months of April - May, which affects the Spring QE1 and Spring QE2 exams and our corresponding reviews. As a result, we have postponed the following classes and will reschedule them once the MCC has offered new exam dates. As is customarily with all our reviews, these make-up classes will be scheduled early enough to allow for proper post-review consolidation before challenging your exam:
- OSCE+mock Live Review for the QE2 - April 13-18, 2020
- OSCE+mock Live Review for the QE2 - April 20-25, 2020
- QE1 Live Review - May 11-22, 2020 (current attendees will be moved into the July 6-17, 2020 cohort)
Learn more about the MCC statement HERE.
While this is a challenging and unsettling time, it is also an opportunity to look at how we leverage technology to deliver some elements of our programming. The rest of our live review schedule will still operate as originally planned so if you are scheduled to attend a review or you are thinking of attending one in the near future, rest assured that we will try our best to continue operations. However, as the situation around COVID-19 is changing day-to-day, we will keep you updated.
ANOTHER OPTION
We will be launching our QE1 Self-Study after April 1, 2020. This program is a great option for anyone that is unable to attend our live classes and wishes to prepare for their QE1 exam in the comfort of their home.
Thank you once again for considering MedSckool Reviews as your study partner for your upcoming medical boards. For years, we have helped physicians from all walks of life, all stages in their careers and from all over the world, realize their dreams of practicing medicine and as the days go on, we will continue to do just this!
We wish you all good health,
The MedSckool Team
