The Personal Statement.

Picture
The personal statement is one of the most difficult types of documents to write, for one thing its very personal, and the fact that you it’s your own story that you’re telling can make it difficult to be objective and to know exactly what to put in and what to leave out, but another challenging aspect of the personal statement is that you often have a lot of information to communicate and only a few words and sentences to do it with. Good personal statement writing is about getting the most out of each of these words and sentences, and the part of the writing process which allows you to do this is the personal statement editing service we now offer at MedSckool Reviews!

Why is the personal statement so important? It is important because it is the only part of your application that is not based on test scores or other people’s perceptions of you. For this reason committees place a heavy emphasis on the personal statement. It is the one part of your application that you have complete control of and allows you to make a personal case for yourself. Because of these reasons, however, it is so very difficult to write.

FEES.
  • Personal Statements are edited by our small team of Canadian/American-educated MD's and English Majors from the University of Toronto and overseen by Mark Mauleesan MD, MBA  and his team, who has personally edited, reviewed and assisted with hundreds of personal statements and CVs.

  • The Fee for the personal statement is set for only ONE VERSION. If you are applying for multiple programs and require variations of your personal statement, tailored for different programs, each variation is an additional $150 plus tax.
