The Qualifying 1 Examination tests both basic and clinical medicine as well as your clinical decision making capacity (CDM). Initially, my impression from what I gathered on the website was that this was a well-structured program geared mostly at IMGs. I was impressed with the testimonials, and as the timing suited me very well for my exams, I was more inclined to join a prep program. Overall, I have learned and re-learned a lot of material in the last 12 days. The structure of the lectures was good. I’m mentally exhausted, but overall, this was a good, high yield course which covered material pertinent to the QE1. This was an intense, but well-worth-it 12 days of QE1 review. The topics covered are the most important and high yield for the QE1 exam. Meeting people from all over the world was really nice and being able to share personal experiences throughout medical school, clinical work and applications lets us know that we’re not alone in this process.
