WHAT IS IT?
Casper is an online, open-response situational judgment test (SJT).
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO CHALLENGE IT?
Certain residency programs in Canada use CASPer scores to help them identify suitable candidates based on personal and professional qualities that make them more likely to succeed in clinical training and future practice.
WHAT DOES THE TEST LOOK LIKE?
2 Sections: The test is divided into two sections. The first is the video response section. In this section, you will be presented with two word-based scenarios and four video-based scenarios. The second section is the typed response section. Here, you will be presented with three word-based scenarios and five video-based scenarios.
14 Scenarios: Each video response scenario has two open-ended questions, presented one at a time. Test takers have one minute to record each response. Each typed response scenario has three open-ended questions, presented altogether. Test takers have five minutes total to respond to all three questions.
Duration: 90-110 minutes in length; Casper progresses from one scenario to the next automatically. It typically takes 90-110 minutes to complete the whole test. We provide an optional 10 min break between the video response and typed response sections and another optional five minute break halfway through the typed response section.

WHAT IS COVERED IN THE WORKSHOP?Staying true to our DNA, our Workshop for CASPer is an all-day Interactive small-group learning experience. Driving a car is not enough, if you don't know how to read and follow the road signs or rules. As such, we will spend time dissecting the essence of what a Situational Judgement Test is before spending the day practicing numerous cases. Registrants will also be provided with additional cases/scenarios to practice with after this 1-Day workshop.

WHAT MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED?All preparation materials will be provided via email as soft copies 24-48 Hr before the start of the workshop.
